Shail Construction is a 32-person, family-led building firm headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina. We are the people you call when the project must be right — not when it must be cheap.
Shail Construction was founded in 2009 by Shail Patel, a third-generation builder who had spent ten years inside two of the Carolinas' largest general contractors and grown quietly frustrated. Big firms had the resources but lost the details. Small firms had the craft but lost the schedule. Almost no one had both.
Shail's bet was simple: a deliberately small firm — never more than a dozen active projects, never more than four principals — could deliver the operational precision of a big builder with the obsessive craftsmanship of a small one. Seventeen years and eighty-four projects later, the bet has held.
We've never advertised. Every client we work with arrives by referral — from a previous owner, a trusted Triangle architect, or an interior designer who has watched us turn a drawing into something better than the drawing.
